Quarter 1, Week 7, 2017

Kindergarten:  Element of Art – Shape

Kindergarten students began drawing self-portraits in sketchbooks and learning some basic proportions of the face.

First Grade:  Element of Art – LINE

Students drew Durer’s Rhinoceros in sketchbooks, paying extra attention to shapes and pattern.

Second Grade:  Element of Art – Shape

All of the colorful drawings of facial features created previously, on little bits of Manila paper, have now be assembled to create cubist inspired self-portraits.

Grade:  Element of Art – LINE   

We have spent the week studying Van Gogh’s paintings of almond blossoms.  We will continue our study of color with the introduction of watercolors next week.
