Miss Caranto K-2 Music

This week in K-2 Music, we are all learning a second concert song and rehearsing the first concert song. In Kindergarten, we are practicing reading “loud” and “soft” and applying these terms to known songs and chants. In 1^st Grade, we are practicing reading rhythm syllables (which they are excited to know that 2^nd Grade and up can also read!) of known songs. In 2^nd Grade, we are practicing a new solfege syllable, do, and its corresponding hand sign. We are also learning and practicing a new rhythmic element to add to their music reading arsenal!
