Music - Mrs. Trujillo - Grade 3rd - 4th

3rd and 4th Grade Music
Week of  December 11

This week is the Winter Concert!  Please see the following information previously sent home in a letter and posted in the last newsletter!

The Great Hearts Northern Oaks Winter Concert is quickly approaching. We would love for families to attend! Please note that the date of the concert is Thursday, December 14th at 6:00 PM (K-3) and 7:45 PM (4-7). The concert will be held at Summit Christian Center, 2575 Marshall Rd., San Antonio, TX – 78259.

All sections of each grade will be performing together as a choir, and each grade’s performance is about 10 minutes long. Concert length of Grades K-3 is approximately 45 minutes long, and the concert of Grades 4-7 is about 1 hour long. Students are required to stay for the entire length of their concert (e.g. Kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders are required to stay until after 3rd graders are done performing), because they will be graded on not just their performance but also on their concert etiquette. Students are to wear Concert Dress Attire as stated in the Family Handbook. This means boys should wear black shoes and socks, black slacks, black belt, a white oxford style shirt, and a tasteful tie or bow tie preferably in school colors (no pop culture or music ties). Girls should wear black dress shoes (no high heels), black skirt (knee-length or longer), a white blouse (no halter tops or spaghetti straps), and appropriate under-garments.

All K-3 students are asked to be at the church by 5:30 PM to warm-up and prepare for the performance. As students arrive, we will mark their attendance. Warm-up for K-3 will begin at 5:35, so please be prompt. Doors will open for K-3 parents at 5:50 PM. All 4-7 students should arrive at 7:15 PM. Warm-up for 4-7 will begin promptly at 7:20 PM. Doors will open for 4-7 parents at 7:35 PM. We kindly ask that parents be respectful of the posted door times.
